About me.
As each person is unique and will bring different experiences, I aim to work in a way to suit each individual. Counselling can offer many things including a confidential and safe place to talk and explore thoughts and feelings.
Making links between past experiences and current patterns of behavior can be helpful to gain a greater understanding of oneself. The counselling process offers gentle observations and reflections; sometimes incorporating artwork, visualizations, and relaxation techniques. I believe that the quality of the relationship that develops between therapist and client is our key therapeutic tool. By paying attention to our inner world, and allowing ourselves to witness our thoughts, feelings, and internal shifts our healing can begin.
I have worked with a variety of issues – Abuse, Addiction, ADHD, Anxiety, ASD, Bereavement, Bullying, Career support, Chronic illness, Depression, Disability, Eating-disorders, Gender Identity, Loneliness, Loss, Low self-confidence, Miscarriage, Panic attacks, Parenting issues, PTSD, Relationship issues, Self-harm, Sexual health/problems, Stress, Suicidal thoughts, Trauma, Work-related stress.
